So Much to Celebrate

Wow! Disneyland Resort has really started the new year off in so many ways. The absolutely gorgeous Tropical Hideaway officially opened to guests on January 1st, bringing with it tons of amazing bao buns, sweet lumpia and new twists on the classic Dole Whip. That means there are finally two locations within the park that Dole Whip is sold. Oh boy!

If you remember 2017 set all Disney guests into a shopping frenzy when the premiere of everything rose gold made its way into all Disney stores. 2018 brought guests the overwhelming new color and the world’s new obsession with millennial pink. This year the same idea was put into place with the new color purple. One week ago all the purple you could imagine dyed the park from food to merchandise.

Today, Mickey’s 90th birthday celebration bonanza really kicked off with a huge bang. You will find all the Mickey birthday themed food at various eateries throughout both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Each food item is said to have a Mickey Mouse shape inside or on top. How fun is that! Now, not only did Mickey spread a bunch of fun food throughout the resort but he also gifted his guests a new firework show at Disneyland Park called Mickey's Mix Magic. Everyone gathered in the parks for the biggest crowd all week since southern California had some of the heaviest rains seen in quite some time over the past week. Luckily the storms left just in time for Mickey to show off his incredibly fun new show.

Even after all of this, the resort will also be hosting the Lunar New Year celebrations at Disney California Adventure Park for the Year of the Pig starting January 25th. Wowzers! So much is happening at the Disneyland Resort as well as Walt Disney World Resort - I don't know how anyone can keep up. Though I'm sure we will try our best to not miss a moment of 2019 and can't wait to see what else is coming.
